Dongfeng Motor recently signed an agreement with Xiangyang Economic and Technological Development Zone to build a Dongfeng parts intelligent manufacturing base. The project has a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan and covers an area of ​​280 mu (approximately 18.7 hectares). The base will construct 12 automated production lines, focusing on the R&D and production of parts for the three-electric systems of new energy vehicles and intelligent driving sensors, with an expected annual production capacity of 800,000 sets.

The base will introduce AI quality inspection and digital twin technology to achieve visualized management of the entire parts production process, controlling the product defect rate to below 0.03%. After reaching full production capacity, the project is expected to generate annual revenue exceeding 6 billion yuan, attracting 15 upstream and downstream supporting enterprises to settle in and improving the regional automotive industry chain.
